Dear Students, We are pleased to inform you that students of the Virtual University of Pakistan are now eligible to apply for the Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme 2025, launched by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) under the umbrella of the Prime Minister's Youth Program.
Who is eligible for Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme?
To qualify, students must be currently enrolled in PhD, MS/MPhil, Bachelor's, or Master's programmes and meet specific academic requirements. A minimum CGPA of 2.80 or 60 percent marks is mandatory, while first-year students need to submit their HSSC marks.
How much GPA is required for a laptop scheme?
For the Prime Minister's Youth Laptop Scheme, a minimum CGPA of 2.80 is required for semester system students, which is equivalent to 70% marks. For annual system students, a minimum of 60% marks is required. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) uses its defined formula to convert CGPA/GPA to percentages.
